Abused Boxer’s Eye Surgery Gives Investigators Clues

The female Boxer “Coco” is in such bad condition she seems like a bag of bones.

When she was first picked up in Garfield Heights, OH, on March 12, Animal Control officer Ed Jamison thought about if she just got lost and her owner did not know what to do.

“This is one of the skinniest dogs I’ve ever dealt with,” mentioned Jamison.

The Boxer almost starved to death and had frostbite on her nose. Seems the owner of this dog, Navada Williams, is the exact same woman who called Coco in as a stray.

Coco’s recent eye surgery helped investigators discover the truth about what happened to her.

“We called over to the vet north of Columbus, and we did hear back from one that did perform the procedure on the eye,” Jamison said.

That veterinarian gave investigators Williams’ name… She likewise posted the fake story on Facebook.

Friday, March 14, 2014 charges were filed against Williams for animal cruelty, animal abandonment and filing a false police report. Jamison as well says that another boxer dog was taken out from her home, apparently in better health.

Coco is thought to be around 5-years-old and is now being nursed back to health. She already has several people who want to adopt her to give her a loving home.

Williams will be arraigned March 26 at Garfield Heights City Court.
